Our Story

Sylvan Wine Shoppe is a family owned, community staple located in Sylvan Lake, MI. The store has been operated by Harry Abro and his family since 2008. We specialize in fine wine, rare spirits, craft beer, mead and sours. We currently carry over 2,500 varieties of wines, 1,500 different craft beers, and 1,500 unique spirits. We pride ourselves in our selection of 100 point RP wines, as well as our competitive everyday prices on brands like Sterling, Josh, Joel Gott, 19 Crimes, Kim Crawford and more. We also strive to obtain a wide variety of obscure, rare & unique brands of whiskey, bourbon, scotch, tequila, mezcal, vodka, rum, gin, & liqueur.

Our Store Collections

Beers

We offer 1,500X different craft beers with a vast selection of mead, sours, and cider. We have an entire isle dedicated to Michigan breweries. We have sections committed for non-alcoholic and gluten free beer. We also carry many German, Belgian, and other international brands!”

Wines

We carry 2,500X various fine wines. We offer competitive prices for everyday brands like Josh, Joel Gott, 19 Crimes, Kim Crawford, and Bonanza. Our wine cellar also contains several 100 point Robert Parker wines, such as Chateu Mouton Rothschild, Harlan Estate, Opus One, and more!

Liquors

We have in stock over 1,500X unique spirits. We have rare allocated bourbon and scotch. We also carry obscure liqueurs, commonly used for making specialty cocktails!
